Hi, I’m Sebastian.
I am Sebastian: a native Dutch speaker who grew up bilingual in Dutch and Portuguese, and who has taught Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish, and English for more than five years.
We start from what you already know: everyday situations, pronunciation, how words connect, and the songs, films and expressions that help a language stick. I plan each lesson around the situations you want to handle.
- Everyday situations. We work with the shops, offices, family tables, and corridors you actually stand in.
- Pronunciation and confidence. We slow down the sounds that trip you up and practice saying them until they feel like yours.
- See how a word is built. I help you tackle new words by teaching you to recognize the root of a word, or by connecting it to words you already use in your own language.
- Enjoy the ride. Songs, movies, and funny expressions are part of the lesson. I will not leave you stuck in boring homework.

From A2 to B1 in two months
A Dutch couple who had just moved to central Portugal came to me wanting to feel less stuck in everyday Portuguese. We worked on words that are useful in their world, basic grammar, improving pronunciation, and most of all the confidence to build a sentence. Within two months their Portuguese moved from A2 to B1. Now they feel more ready to talk to the neighbor and to say Portuguese city names out loud while driving.

Personal, practical 50-minute lessons, one-to-one and online. We work on everyday situations, pronunciation, confidence, word connections and etymology, and enjoyable immersion through music, films, and expressions. Eventually the video call will run through Google Meet; the camera is optional.
Which languages can you teach, and which can you explain them in?
I teach Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish, and English. I can explain a lesson in another supported language you already speak. Portuguese has European and Brazilian variants; they are variants of one language, not separate teaching languages.
How does the intro call work?
It’s a free 15-minute video call on Google Meet. You book it yourself in my calendar, either before buying or right after. We talk about your goals, check your level and plan your first lesson. The camera is optional.
What happens after I choose a package?
You fill in a short form and pay on Stripe’s secure checkout page. You then land on a thank-you page where you book your free intro call. Stripe emails your receipt, and I email your Portuguese invoice within two working days.
