What it is

Homework here means tailored exercises reviewed during your lessons. It is not a generic workbook page and it is not a second, unpaid lesson. The work is chosen to give you another pass at the language you are actually working on, with a clear place to ask questions afterwards.

What it can change

The main benefit is retrieval: coming back to a word or pattern after a gap, without the lesson’s immediate prompts. That effort can make the memory more available later. It can also make your questions sharper. If you tried the exercise on your own, the next lesson starts from what actually happened, not from what seemed clear in the room.

Homework cannot promise faster progress, and it is not a substitute for speaking. It is a structure for more contact with the language between lessons. Some learners thrive with it. Others already have plenty of that contact and need the lessons to be the main place they speak.

  • Useful if you like a structure and a reason to return to the language between lessons.
  • Useful if you can give it regular, modest time rather than a rushed hour before the lesson.
  • Skippable if your life is already full of the language or if you know you will resent it.

How to choose

Choose homework if the serial version fits your week. Choose without homework if you need the lessons to be the only commitment for now. Neither choice is a moral judgement, and choosing without it does not mean you are less serious.

If you are unsure, mention it in the introductory call. We can talk about your week, the amount of contact you already have with the language, and whether the exercises would help or simply sit in a folder.

What it is not

Homework is not exam preparation and does not guarantee a result. If you are preparing for a specific exam, tell me in the intake so we can set expectations honestly. Specialist exam preparation is outside this offer, and a different tutor may be the better fit.

The point is to make the optional part genuinely optional. Choose the version you will be able to live with for the whole package, not the version that sounds most impressive on the day you buy it.

What it costs

Homework costs €10 per lesson and is selected for the entire package. A five-lesson package with homework is €200 rather than €150; a ten-lesson package is €350 rather than €250. The choice is made at checkout, and it cannot be switched on or off halfway through. I ask for that consistency because it lets me plan the rhythm of the package around it.
