English for Portuguese speakers
English can be the language between you and the opportunity you want. We work on the meetings, interviews, emails, and conversations that matter, with space to ask questions in Portuguese when the explanation needs to land.
From €25 per lesson with the ten-lesson package (€250 prepaid).
The situations we build around
- Meetings, interviews, presentations, calls, and the small talk around them.
- Pronunciation and listening, including the sounds Portuguese does not share with English.
- Useful, natural phrases for disagreeing, checking, interrupting politely, and keeping the conversation moving.
For Portuguese-speaking professionals
You may need English for a current job, a promotion, an international team, or a move. We can build the lessons around those situations, whether you are in Portugal, Brazil, or somewhere else. I teach in English and can explain in Portuguese when the detail matters.
The bridge: Latin vocabulary, English sounds
Portuguese and English share a large Latin-derived vocabulary, so professional reading often comes before professional speaking. The gap is in pronunciation, word stress, and the short everyday phrases that English speakers use to keep a conversation moving. We use the vocabulary you already have and spend real time on the part that makes you hesitate.
A shared Latin root that makes academic and professional vocabulary feel less foreign.
A classic false friend: “actually” does not mean “atualmente” (currently).
