One-to-one online

Dutch for Portuguese speakers

Dutch can feel full of sounds your mouth has never been asked to make. We start from Portuguese — the words you already have, the patterns you already recognize — and build Dutch around them, one real situation at a time.

From €25 per lesson with the ten-lesson package (€250 prepaid).

The situations we build around

  • Introducing yourself and holding a simple conversation without switching to English at the first gap.
  • Dutch for work, a Dutch-speaking partner, family, or everyday life in the Netherlands.
  • Pronunciation and listening, including the fast, reduced sounds that make real Dutch sound different from lesson Dutch.

Brazilians learning Dutch

Many Brazilian learners arrive with a strong ear for rhythm and a lot of English already in the mix. We use that. For work, study, a relationship, or a move to the Netherlands, the lessons focus on the Dutch you will actually speak — not on sounding like a textbook.

The bridge: Latin roots and new rhythms

Portuguese and Dutch live in different language families, but they have bumped into each other for centuries. Dutch borrowed Latin words that Portuguese kept, and both languages borrowed from English, French, and beyond. Those overlaps are not enough on their own, but they give your memory a place to hang new words. Then we train the rhythms that are genuinely new: Dutch stress, vowels, and consonants such as g and ui.

straat/estrada

Both trace back to Latin strata, a paved road — a useful reminder that languages trade words.

schrijven/escrever

Both connect to Latin scribere. The forms have traveled far, but the root is shared.
